Much of the experience for Pueblo people during and as a result of The Great Depression led to some unlikely benefits as federal legislation and increased government spending generated change that helped to stimulate economic activities through artistic endeavors, public works projects, and resurgence in farming/ranching.
This Pueblo-based curriculum aims to strengthen the identity of Native American children in New Mexico by providing comprehensive K-12 unit plans on the complex political, social, cultural, and economic history of the Pueblo nations of New Mexico. The curriculum is rich with instructional strategies, resources, and Pueblo-centered cultural knowledge that will be valuable to students from diverse backgrounds and dispositions in life.
