In the southwest, symbols and icons depicted on rocks, cultural wares, regalia, and other objects have stood the test of time despite cycles of innumerable interpretations, physical acts of vandalism and monetary exploitation.
This Pueblo-based curriculum aims to strengthen the identity of Native American children in New Mexico by providing comprehensive K-12 unit plans on the complex political, social, cultural, and economic history of the Pueblo nations of New Mexico. The curriculum is rich with instructional strategies, resources, and Pueblo-centered cultural knowledge that will be valuable to students from diverse backgrounds and dispositions in life.
