As with most cultures, art plays an integral role in definition. It is no different in Pueblo communities. Students will describe types of transformations that relate points by the motion of reflections, rotations and translations and methods for identifying and creating symmetric figures
This Pueblo-based curriculum aims to strengthen the identity of Native American children in New Mexico by providing comprehensive K-12 unit plans on the complex political, social, cultural, and economic history of the Pueblo nations of New Mexico. The curriculum is rich with instructional strategies, resources, and Pueblo-centered cultural knowledge that will be valuable to students from diverse backgrounds and dispositions in life.
